About Her
Dr. Cynthia A. Patterson is a transformational leader and therapist specializing in spiritual growth and leadership development. She is visionary and founder of DOVES Love Ministries. She has been called a 21st Century Abolitionist who coach women that desperately want to liberate themselves from past hurts and pain. She shows them how to spiritually heal so they can awaken their deepest desires and live their greatest dreams. A sought-after inspirational speaker who has a genuine passion to empower and encourage women. She is known for her amazing, approachable, engaging, and transparent style. Her deep passion is obvious as she takes her audience on a journey. Her wisdom is shared with loads of practical advice and application. No matter what the topic, her passion, and prayer is that every woman duplicates and leaves inspired.
Cynthia holds a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Development, Masters' in Christian Counseling of Substance Abuse and Addictive Disorders, Bachelor in Christian Leadership Development, Ordained and Licensed Minister, Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist, Certified Family Partner, Certified Christian Counselor, Certified Christian Life Coach, Certified International Recovery Coach and Trainer, Certified Drug Education Instructor & Trainer, and Certified Domestic Violence Trauma Specialist. Cynthia is a noted “community influencer” and “global change-agent”.
In 2010, Cynthia was named Silke Endress 20 Most Influential Women in the nation along with former First Lady Michelle Obama, Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, and pop sensation and business mogul Beyoncé. Recently recognized 2018 Black Congressional honoree for the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. This is a distinguished recognition for her mission in helping women and girls in the community and globally.
Cynthia loves to laugh, loves helping, and serving God's daughters. She resides in Houston, Texas, and mother to Michael Sr. (34), grandmother to Brielle (11) and Michael Jr. (1).
Her Passion
Cynthia believes sisterhood is powerful. It is her passion to provide women she connects with a safe space to share, to network, and receive support especially when it feels like the world is against them. Like attracts like and women can find each other to connect and share their resources and experiences. Her motto is "when we are empowered, our entire communities are empowered".
It is her prayer that spiritual inspiration comes when each of her clients discover that other sisters believe in them and willing to take the journey with them. Sister2Sister Interactive is a community of sisterhood where there is no competition just collaboration to help each other GROW AND WIN!!!
Her Mission
Cynthia has launched an online women's 12-Step Recovery Support Group via Zoom. i61:3 Beauty4Ashes is a biblical based 12-Step program to strategically help you achieve and maintain successful long-term addiction recovery from life challenges, losses, and trauma. This support is available FREE of charge with membership requirements other than the desire to lead a life free of drama.
The biblical foundation for this support group is Isaiah 61:3:
"He will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory."
